Troubleshooting at Home
Sometimes your hearing aids need a quick fix to start working properly again. If you are experiencing weak or distorted sound from your hearing aids, try these troubleshooting techniques at home.
- Check the battery: First check to make sure you have a fresh battery in your hearing aid, sometimes distorted sound can be caused by a weak battery.
- Replace the wax guard: Try replacing the wax guard on your hearing aid as it may be clogged with wax or debris, affecting the sound quality.
- Turn them off, then back on: To turn your hearing aid off, simply open the battery door completely. Remove the battery and re-insert it, then turn the aid back on.
